August is Camp Meeting Sundays Month! Come dressed in your casual clothes each Sunday in August for a time of singing, fellowship, and worship.
Reverend Susannah will be doing a sermon series on the Mission statement of our church. Sunday August 14th: Part One: “The Local Church: God’s
Primary Agent in the World.” Come and join us. There’s a place for you!
A GPS guides us to where we want to go. For Christians, our GPS is the Bible. GPS is YOUR time each Sunday night this fall to get into the Word
through Bible study and devotion.

GPS: Growing Personally on Sunday is our Sunday night ministry that offers spiritual formation and growth for all ages. Through food, fellowship,
worship, and study we are inspired, equipped, and challenged to live as faithful disciples of Christ in the world.

GPS Kickoff!: August 21st. Family Night, potluck supper, 5th Annual Cold Confection Challenge and entertainment provided by The Brickstreet
Barbershop Quartet. Come, bring your favorite potluck dish and enjoy a night of food, fellowship, and fun as we kick off a new fall semester at
Hawkins!
How to enter the Cold Confection Challenge:
Make your favorite recipe and pack in your ice cream freezer before you come to church. We will provide space and number (no names please!) for your
freezer. Small taster spoons and voting cards are provided. The winner will have their names engraved on our Cold Confection Challenge plaque and
the silver ice cream bowl is displayed I their honor for one year!
Journeying with Jesus: The Spiritual Walk of Faith: Life is a journey with ups and downs, twists, and turns. But the one thing we can
always count on is that God is waking with us. Join Reverend Susannah as we look at our spiritual journey as Jesus invites us, through the biblical
narrative, to walk with him in the everyday of our lives. This study will be held in the sanctuary from 5:30 to 6:30 on Sunday nights beginning
August 28th.
A Study on the Book of Hebrews, led by Bob Ford starting on August 28th at 5:30 in room A-10.
Beth Moore’s “The Inheritance”. Starting Sunday night, September 18th at 5:30. Come join us for this nine-week video driven study. Feel free
to invite friends and family.
Activities in Hawkins Fellowship Hall start September 6 and end November 29 with a party.
