Saturday, May 3rd the UMW will sponsor a plant and bake sale, the Mexico Mission Team will have a rummage sale, the Youth will have a car wash,
and the Men's Club will host a barbecue chicken dinner. Tickets for the BBQ are on sale for $7.00 and will be available from Men's Club members
or the church office. Please bring plants or baked goods to the fellowship hall Friday, May 2nd between 3:00 and 7:00. Please bring all of your
donated items to the church during office hours (no clothes please). The Youth car wash will take place in the lower parking lot.
Sunday, May 11 we will celebrate the Day of Pentecost. Pentecost is the great festival that marks the birth of the Christian church by the power
of the Holy spirit. Pentecost means "fiftieth day" and is celebrated fifty days after Easter. Please wear the color red this Sunday as part of
our celebration.
The Senior Baccalaureate Breakfast and Service will be Sunday, May 18. Parents of the Junior class should contact Teresa Tarver about helping
prepare the senior breakfast. If you know of graduating high school seniors in our church, please get their names to either Mark or Cathy as
soon as possible. The parents of the senior class should submit 6 to 8 photos of their students and these will be put in a power point
presentation Sunday, May 18. If you know of any graduating college seniors, please submit their names as well.
Show your support for our children by attending their Spring Musical and Fish Fry Wednesday, May 21st. You don't want to miss this upbeat and fun
way our children will deliver the message that God's love is ROCK SOLID! We will have a fish fry (pot-luck) meal before the children's performance.
Sonny and Philip Jones have graciously offered to fry the fish; we just need to bring side dishes and desserts. Come relax after work with a great
meal and let the children inspire you with their stomp performance. If you plan to attend the fish fry, please sign up.
